An apparatus (202) for supporting imaging equipment comprising: a main support member (218) comprising: a base member (222) having a first end por-tion and a second end portion; a first member (228) having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion (234), wherein the proximal end portion is connected with the first end portion of the first end portion of the base mem-ber (222), wherein the first member is adapted to support a light source (206); a second member having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, wherein the proximal end portion is connected with the second end portion of the base member; wherein the distal end portion of the second member is adapted to support a camera (204);and an augment member (240) having a first end portion (290) and a second end portion (286), wherein the first end por-tion (290) is releasably connectable with the distal end portion (234) of the first member and wherein the second end portion (286) is releasably connectable with the base member (2229, and wherein the alignment member (240) includes at leat one slot parallel to the first member (228).
