An engine-driven, multiple-phase, alternator-powered SCR rectified arc welding power supply using a single synchronizing winding within the alternator providing signals to a synchronizing digitizer which masks noise for most of each cycle of the alternator. The synchronizing circuitry prevents spurious synchronizing signals.

Cette invention concerne un groupe générateur-alternateur à moteur servant à l'alimentation en courant multiphasé d'une machine à souder à l'arc à thyristors, l'alternateur comportant un seul bobinage de synchronisation transmettant des signaux à un numériseur d'impulsions de synchronisation qui masque le bruit pendant la plus grande partie de chaque cycle de l'alternateur. Le circuit de synchronisation empêche l'occurence de signaux parasites.
