This invention concerns a method and apparatus for treating cardiac arrhythmias with no discrete focus. More particularly, one or more catheters (not shown) are used to collect local information concerning a conduction block (70) within a patient's heart, the information is analyzed to determine where lines or points of ablation should be made, and then the lines (lambda) or points (not shown) of ablation are made.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de traitement des arythmies cardiaques ne présentant pas de foyer distinct. Plus particulièrement, on utilise un ou plusieurs cathéters (non représentés) pour recueillir des informations locales concernant un bloc (70) de conduction dans le coeur d'un patient, et on analyse ces informations afin de déterminer où l'on doit faire des lignes ou des points d'ablation, puis l'on trace ces lignes (lambda) ou ces points (non représentés) d'ablation.
