There is provided apparatus for treatment of ambient air for supply to an individual small experimental animal. The apparatus comprises an inlet for the ambient air, an inner tube having a porous wall, an electric heater surrounding the inner tube and a cuff surrounding the electric heater and the inner tube. The cuff is arranged to deliver water to the electric heater. The cuff is connectable to a water supply. The apparatus further comprises an outlet for the treated air and an exposure tube for housing the individual small experimental animal. The exposure tube has an inlet for the treated air, connected to the outlet. There is also provided a method for treatment of ambient air, for supply to an individual small experimental animal.
La présente invention concerne un appareil destiné au traitement de lair ambiant destiné à un petit animal individuel de laboratoire. Lappareil comporte une admission dair ambiant, un tube interne présentant une paroi poreuse, un appareil de chauffage électrique entourant le tube interne et un manchon entourant lappareil de chauffage électrique et le tube interne. Le manchon est conçu pour distribuer de leau à lappareil de chauffage électrique. Le manchon peut être raccordé à une alimentation deau. Lappareil comporte en outre une sortie pour lair traité et un tube dexposition destiné à abriter le petit animal individuel de laboratoire. Le tube dexposition comporte une admission pour lair traité, raccordée à la sortie. Linvention concerne également un procédé de traitement de lair ambiant destiné au petit animal individuel de laboratoire.
