The present invention discloses a wrapping apparatus for wrapping a load (2) of material comprising a loop structure (50) defining an endless track (52), a shuttle mounted on said track and able to navigate about the entire length of track, an applicator mounted on said shuttle adapted to hold a web of flexible wrapping medium and a plurality of individual retractable support stands (11) aligned to form a disappearing retractable support table. The individual retractable support stands are able to be individually biased between a raised position and a lowered position such that a gap between the load and the support stand is created through which the loop structure may pass, thus allowing the loop structure to encircle the load of material while traversing along the entire length of the load of material.
La présente invention porte sur un appareil d'emballage destiné à emballer une charge (2) de matériau. Cet appareil est constitué d'une structure (50) en boucle formant une chenille (52), d'une navette montée sur cette chenille et capable de circuler sur toute la longueur de la chenille, d'un applicateur monté sur la navette et conçu pour contenir une bande de matériau d'emballage souple, et d'une pluralité de pieds (11) supports individuels, rétractables, disposés de façon à former une table support escamotable. Chacun des pieds supports rétractables est capable d'emmagasiner une force de ressort les amenant en une position intermédiaire entre une position haute et une position basse de façon à créer entre la charge et la table support un intervalle au travers de laquelle peut passer la structure en couvle. Cela permet à la structure en boucle d'encercler la charge de matériau tout en traversant dans toute sa longueur la charge de matériau.
