A continuing sheet and workpieces are appropriately adhered together. A device for manufacturing an absorptive article, the device comprising: a rotating member which has a circular arc-shaped holding surface for holding a workpiece and rotates while facing one surface of a moving continuing sheet, the rotating member being adapted to rotate while holding the workpiece on the circular arc-shaped holding surface, thereby moving the workpiece to a position at which the workpiece is sandwiched between said surface and the circular arc- shaped holding surface; and a pressing member which adheres the continuing sheet and the workpiece together by coming into contact, when the workpiece reaches the position at which the workpiece is sandwiched between said surface of the continuing sheet and the circular arc-shaped holding surface, with the other surface of the continuing sheet and pressing the continuing sheet toward the circular arc-shaped holding surface. The pressing member is a roller capable of freely rotating about the center axis thereof. When the roller makes contact with the other surface of the continuing sheet, the direction of the center axis of the roller intersects the direction of the center axis passing through the center of the circle of the circular arc-shaped holding surface. The line of intersection along which the outer surface of the roller intersects an imaginary plane containing the center axis of the roller is a circular arc-shaped curve, and the diameter of the roller at the center in the center axis direction thereof is less than the diameter of the roller at the ends in the center axis direction thereof.
