The method is for operating two switches connecting respectively a load to power source terminals in response to a switch control signal. The method comprises the steps of a) detecting a signal indicative of current direction through the load to identify one of the switches as active switch; b) if the switch control signal is for opening the active switch, (i) sending an opening gate signal to the active switch and (ii) triggering a predetermined time period; and c) if the switch control signal is for closing the active switch, (iii) sending an opening gate signal to the other switch, (iv) triggering a predetermined time period, and (v) sending a closing gate signal to the active switch when the predetermined time period of the timer associated with the other switch has elapsed. The present invention also concerns an apparatus.
La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de mise en oeuvre de deux commutateurs connectant respectivement une charge à des terminaux de sources d'alimentation en réponse à un signal de commande de commutation. Ledit procédé comprend les étapes consistant à (a) détecter un signal indicateur de la direction du courant dans la charge de manière à identifier un des commutateurs comme le commutateur actif; (b) si le signal de commande de commutation est destiné à l'ouverture du commutateur actif, (i) envoyer un signal d'ouverture de porte au commutateur actif et (ii) déclencher une période de temps préétablie; et (c) si le signal de commande de commutation est destiné à la fermeture du commutateur actif, (iii) envoyer un signal d'ouverture de porte à l'autre commutateur, (iv) déclencher une période de temps préétablie et (v) envoyer un signal de fermeture de porte au commutateur actif lorsque la période de temps préétablie du temporisateur associé à l'autre commutateur est écoulée.
