ETTINGER TITLE: APPARATUS AND METHOD OF POSITIONING SLIDERS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Sliders are moved single file in spaced relationship along a conveyor track by friction driven means to a terminal portion of the conveyor track where the sliders are transferred to a raising member which raises the sliders to a position for assembly on a slider chain. A projection on an arm is held in the path of a second slider spaced from the terminal point to prevent pileup at the terminal point until the slider at the terminal point is transferred.
