Abstract of the Disclosure An apparatus for chemical treatment of a fluid pumped from a well through a production tubing includes a tubing anchor with slips adapted to be set hydraulically and mechanically against the casing in the well without rotating the production tubing. A branch line from a chemical injection line communicates with a setting pressure chamber in the anchor which, when pressurized, is used to initially set the slips. Thereafter, a straight pull on the tubing mechanically completes setting of the slips and a plug blocking the injection line is removed enabling the delivery of a treatment chemical to the well fluid upstream of a pump utilitized in removing the fluid in the well.
