A dispenser housing has a discharge opening with a support being provided within the housing for supporting a continuous strip of sheet material having a plurality of spaced tear lines. A feed mechanism repeatedly moves the sheet material in advancement and retraction intervals. The advancement intervals serve to advance successive outer ones of the segments through the discharge opening and out of the housing, and the retraction interval serves to initialize the sheet material for the advancement interval. A sensor repeatedly detects the arrival of a leading edge of retracting sheet material. A control device receives a signal from the sensor and initiates the advancement interval which terminates when the leading edge of the sheet material has advanced from a first position a pre- determined amount, to repeatedly place the spaced tear lines at a second position that is variable downstream of the first position in relation to variations in the lengths of the segments. A second position defines the beginning of the retraction interval for a next adjacent segment.
L'invention concerne un distributeur muni d'une goulotte de décharge et d'un support monté à l'intérieur du boîtier pour recevoir un rouleau continu de matériau en feuilles présentant des lignes de séparation espacées. Un mécanisme d'entraînement fait successivement avancer et reculer les feuilles à l'extrémité du rouleau pour qu'elles se présentent par la goulotte de décharge. Les intervalles d'avancement servent à faire avancer les segments d'extrémité vers la goulotte de décharge et la sortie du boîtier, alors que les cycles de retrait servent à initialiser le matériau en feuilles pour le prochain cycle de distribution. Un capteur détecte à chaque cycle l'arrivée d'un bord avant du matériau en feuilles lors de la période de retrait. Un dispositif de commande reçoit un signal du capteur et amorce le cycle de distribution suivant, lequel se termine lorsque le bord avant s'est déplacé d'une longueur prédéterminée de sa position d'origine pour placer successivement les lignes de séparation espacées à un deuxième point en aval pouvant varier en fonction de la longueur des segments . Une deuxième position définit le début de l'intervalle de retrait du segment suivant.
