The present invention finds application in the field of cosmetic medicine and particularly relates to an apparatus for adipose tissue detection which comprises a first electronic circuit (2) for generating a beam of electromagnetic waves (W OUT ), radiating means (3) for orienting the beam (W OUT ) to an adipose tissue- containing part (P), sensor means (4) for detecting reflected waves (W IN ), a second electronic circuit (5) for receiving the reflected electromagnetic waves (W IN ), a unit (6) for measuring a predetermined characteristic of the reflected waves (W IN ) and for producing an analog signal (AS), a third electronic circuit (7) for converting the analog signal (AS) into a digital signal (DS), interface means (8) providing an interface between the third electronic circuit (7) and a graphic processing unit. The first electronic circuit (2) comprises means (9) for modulating the frequency of the generated waves (W OUT ), which operate in a microwave range from 1 GHz to 12 GHz.
La présente invention trouve une application dans le domaine de la médecine cosmétique et porte en particulier sur un appareil pour la détection de tissu adipeux, lequel appareil comprend un premier circuit électronique (2) pour générer un faisceau d'ondes électromagnétiques (WOUT), des moyens de rayonnement (3) pour orienter le faisceau (WOUT) vers une partie (P) contenant un tissu adipeux, des moyens de détection (4) pour détecter des ondes réfléchies (WIN), un second circuit électronique (5) pour recevoir les ondes électromagnétiques réfléchies (WIN), une unité (6) pour mesurer une caractéristique prédéterminée des ondes réfléchies (WIN) et pour produire un signal analogique (AS), un troisième circuit électronique (7) pour convertir le signal analogique (AS) en un signal numérique (DS), des moyens d'interface (8) fournissant une interface entre le troisième circuit électronique (7) et une unité de traitement graphique. Le premier circuit électronique (2) comprend des moyens (9) pour moduler la fréquence des ondes générées (WOUT), qui fonctionnent dans une plage de micro-ondes de 1 GHz à 12 GHz.
