Improved results for the crimp seal closure of electrical devices can be obtained using apparatus which simultaneously performs the grooving (beading) and accordion (collapsing) steps. The invention is particularly suitable for devices having thin wall (eg. less than 0.3 mm thick) containers. The use of a cam shaped grooving wheel avoids the need of mechanisms to move the wheel axle during the grooving.

L'invention convient particulièrement bien dans le cas de dispositifs comportant des contenants à parois minces (c'est-à-dire d'une épaisseur inférieure à 0,3mm). L'utilisation d'une roue à rainurer élimine la nécessité d'avoir recours à d'autres mécanismes pour déplacer l'axe de la roue pendant le nervurage.
