An injection system in-cludes a syringe and a plunger. A wiper sidewall of the plunger defines a cavity, into which a plunger shaft of the system is inserted, for moving the plunger, within the syringe, for fluid injection. The plunger includes a feature for engaging the shaft, and the sidewall preferably in-cludes an expandable-contractible por-tion, in which the feature is formed. When the plunger is initially mounted within a first length of the syringe, the expandable--contractible portion of the sidewall is ex-panded and the feature of the plunger does not operably engage the inserted shaft. When the shaft moves the plunger into a second length of the syringe, the expandable-contractible portion of the sidewall contracts and the feature opera-bly engages the shaft. An optional de-formable end wall of the plunger may be spaced apart from a distal terminal end of the inserted shaft.
L'invention concerne un système d'injection qui comprend une seringue et un piston. Une paroi latérale d'essuyage du piston définit une cavité, dans laquelle est insérée une tige de piston du système afin de déplacer le piston, à l'intérieur de la seringue, pour injecter un fluide. Le piston comprend une caractéristique destinée à entrer en contact avec la tige, et la paroi latérale comprend de préférence une partie expansible-contractable dans laquelle la caractéristique est formée. Quand le piston est initialement monté dans une première longueur de la seringue, ladite partie expansible-contractable de la paroi latérale est élargie et la caractéristique du piston n'entre pas en contact avec la tige insérée. Quand la tige déplace le piston dans une deuxième longueur de la seringue, cette partie de la paroi latérale se contracte et la caractéristique entre en contact avec la tige. Une paroi d'extrémité déformable facultative du piston peut être espacée par rapport à une extrémité distale terminale de la tige insérée.
