Non-rigid tape apparatus and fabrication methods for microfluidic processing applications such as gel electrophoresis are provided, where microfluidic processing is performed on selected areas. Parts of the tape are formed by high pressure plastic film forming. Membranes and other structures are self sealing during and after penetration by pipettes and electrical probes. Rigid exoskeleton elements protect the non-rigid parts during processing and facilitate transport of the tape.

L'invention concerne un appareil à bande souple et des procédés de fabrication destinés à des applications de traitement microfluidiques, par exemple l'électrophorèse sur gel, au cours desquelles le traitement microfluidique est exécuté sur des zones choisies. Des parties de la bande sont produites par formage de film plastique haute pression. Des membranes et d'autres structures sont auto-scellantes pendant et après pénétration de pipettes et de sondes électriques. Des éléments exosquelettiques rigides protègent les parties souples pendant le traitement et facilitent le transport de la bande.
