Systems, apparatus, and methods for the treatment of obesity and/or gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD). An embodiment includes an implantable device having an adjustable curved portion configured for exerting a suitable mechanical force on one or more tissues or organs targeted for treatment. Embodiments of the device neuromodulate nerve tissue to effect treatment of obesity and/or GERD. Another embodiment includes an intraluminal guide for guiding placement of the implantable device in the patient.
La présente invention concerne des systèmes, un appareil, et des procédés permettant de traiter l'obésité et/ou un reflux gastroAEsophagien pathologique (RGO). Un mode de réalisation selon l'invention concerne un dispositif implantable comportant une partie courbée ajustable, configurée pour exercer une force mécanique appropriée sur un ou plusieurs tissus ou organes cibles en vue de les traiter. Les modes de réalisation du dispositif modulent neurologiquement le tissu nerveux afin de traiter l'obésité et/ou un RGO. Un autre mode de réalisation concerne un guide intraluminal permettant de piloter la mise en place du dispositif implantable chez le patient.
