Material is deposited onto a surface, such as a tooth or a bone, to repair or restore the surface. The material is delivered in powdered form and melted by application of a laser. The molten material is entrained in a high velocity fluid stream, typically a gas such as air, and directed to the surface to be treated. The molten material solidifies. The materials include hydroxyapatite, alumina and silicon dioxide.

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de déposer un matériau sur une surface, telle qu'une dent ou un os, dans le but de réparer ou de restaurer ladite surface. On distribue le matériau sous forme de poudre et on le fait fondre par application laser. Le matériau en fusion est entraîné dans un jet de fluide à grande vitesse, généralement un gaz tel que l'air, et dirigé vers la surface à traiter, sur laquelle ledit matériau en fusion se solidifie. Les matériaux de la présente invention comprennent l'hydroxyapatite, l'alumine et le dioxyde de silicium.
