Methods and apparatus for forming a novelty (such as a sticked ice cream product) from a mouldable material which involves means and methods whereby material is extruded into a cavity temporarily provided with a bottom, relative movement is thereafter caused so as to shear the cavity contained quantity of material from any such material remaining in the cavity filling nozzle prior to subsequent discharge of the moulded quantity from the cavity at a time when it no longer has a bottom.

L'invention concerne des procédés et un appareil permettant de former une nouveauté (telle qu'une glace à bâtonnet) à partir d'un matériau moulable. On prévoit à cet effet des moyens et des procédés au cours desquels le matériau est extrudé dans une empreinte présentant provisoirement une partie inférieure. Le matériau subit un mouvement relatif entraînant le cisaillement de la quantité de matériau contenu dans la buse de remplissage de l'empreinte à partir du matériau restant dans l'empreinte avant de décharger la quantité moulée de l'empreinte au moment où cette dernière ne présente plus de partie inférieure.
