An extrusion apparatus is described comprising an underside extrusion nozzle (29) for extruding a substance onto an object form underneath the object, the nozzle comprising: a body (30) and a manifold (34) therein; a plurality of extrusion passages (36) in the body extending between the body exterior surface and the manifold; and a scraper blade (38) attached to the body adjacent to the passages and defining a reservoir between the exterior surface and the scraper blade. The extrusion apparatus may further comprise a stand for holding and biasing the nozzle in contact with an object conveyed above it. Also, a process for joining objects is described comprising: (a) conveying a first object in a first direction; (b) extruding adhesive from a fixed location beneath the first object onto its underside as it is conveyed past the location; and (c) joining the first object underside together to a second object topside.
Appareil d'extrusion qui comporte une buse d'extrusion (29) depuis le dessous, destinée à extruder une substance depuis le dessous de l'objet. Ladite buse comprend un corps (30) et un collecteur (34) situé dans le corps, une pluralité de passages (36) d'extrusion ménagés dans le corps et s'étendant entre la surface extérieure du corps et le collecteur, et un racloir (38) attaché au corps à proximité des passages et définissant un réservoir entre la surface extérieure et le racloir.
