Apparatus for introducing a medicament into containers, especially vials, in which the containers are passed through an enclosure and exposed therein to a sterilising electron beam. The containers are then conveyed to a filling station situated outside the enclosure at which a wall part of the container is punctured with a filling needle and medicament introduced into the container via the needle then withdrawing the needle. Preferred apparatus also includes means for heat sealing the puncture site. A corresponding process is disclosed.

Appareil permettant d'introduire un médicament dans des récipients, en particulier des flacons, dans lequel les récipients passent à travers une enceinte fermée et sont exposé dans cette enceinte à un faisceau électronique stérilisant. Les récipients sont ensuite acheminés vers une station de remplissage située à l'extérieur de l'enceinte, dans laquelle une paroi du récipient est percée à l'aide d'une aiguille de remplissage et un médicament est introduit dans le récipient via l'aiguille. Ladite aiguille est ensuite retirée. Un appareil préféré comporte également un moyen de thermosoudage du site percé. Un procédé correspondant est également décrit.
