A method of making high internal phase emulsions is described. The method forms high internal phase emulsion (HIPE) using a single pass through the static mixer. In alternative embodiments, the HIPE may further processed to further modify the size of dispersed phase droplets, to incorporate additional materials into the HIPE, to alter emulsion temperature, and the like.

L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à fabriquer des émulsions à phase interne élevée. Ledit procédé permet de former des émulsions à phase interne élevée (HIPE) par un passage unique à travers un mélangeur statique. Dans d'autres modes de réalisation, les HIPE peuvent être à nouveau traitées pour modifier davantage la taille des gouttelettes de la phase dispersée, pour ajouter des matières supplémentaires dans les HIPE, pour modifier la température de l'émulsion, ou analogue.
