Apparatus for transporting mineral from a point of mining to a remote location, the apparatus including a mobile mineral breaker rig (MBR) having a mineral outlet, the rig including a fluid inlet pipe for receiving conveying fluid, a mineral inlet for introducing mineral from said mineral outlet into said fluid pipe and a fluid outlet pipe for conveying said fluid mixed with mineral received from said mineral outlet, an extensible pipeline assembly (EPA) connected at one end to said inlet and outlet pipes and being adapted for connection at its opposite end to one end of a static pipeline communicating with said remote location, said extensible pipeline assembly being expandable to enable said mobile rig to move away from said one end of the static pipeline whilst maintaining fluid communication therewith, said extensible pipeline assembly comprising a series of elongate pipe assemblies (90a, 90b, 90c) which are articulated at adjacent ends to one another in a zig- zag manner via an articulated joint, each elongate pipe assembly including two lengths of pipe which are arranged side-by-side and secured together such that one length of pipe defines an upper pipe and the other length of pipe defines a lower pipe, the articulated joint between each end of adjacent elongate pipe assemblies including an upper rotary joint (107) which connects adjacent ends of the upper pipes of adjacent pipe assemblies and a lower rotary joint (106) which connects adjacent ends of the lower pipes of adjacent pipe assemblies, the axis of rotation of the upper and lower rotary joints of each articulated joint being co-axial.
La présente invention concerne un appareil destiné à transporter un minéral depuis un point d'extraction jusqu'à un emplacement éloigné, l'appareil comprenant une installation de forage de minéraux mobile (MBR) comportant une sortie de minéraux, l'installation de forage comprenant : un tuyau d'entrée de liquide destiné à recevoir un liquide de transport ; une entrée de minéraux permettant d'introduire les minéraux en provenance de ladite sortie de minéraux dans le tuyau à liquide et un tuyau de sortie de liquide destiné à transporter le liquide précité mélangé aux minéraux reçus depuis la sortie de minéraux ; un ensemble pipeline extensible (EPA) relié, à une extrémité, auxdits tuyaux d'entrée et de sortie et étant apte à être raccordé, à son extrémité opposée, à une extrémité d'un pipeline stationnaire communiquant avec l'emplacement éloigné précité, lequel ensemble pipeline extensible peut être étendu afin de permettre à l'installation de forage mobile de s'éloigner de l'extrémité précitée du pipeline stationnaire tout en maintenant une communication fluidique avec ce dernier, et lequel ensemble pipeline extensible comprend une série d'ensembles tuyaux allongés (90a, 90b, 90c) articulés en zig zag les uns par rapport aux autres en leurs extrémités adjacentes par un joint articulé, chaque ensemble tuyau allongé comprenant deux longueurs de tuyau agencées côte-à-côte et fixées ensemble de façon qu'une longueur de tuyau définit un tuyau supérieur et l'autre longueur de tuyau définit un tuyau inférieur, le joint articulé entre chaque extrémité des ensembles tuyaux allongés adjacents comprenant un joint rotatif supérieur (107) qui relie les extrémités adjacentes des tuyaux supérieurs des ensembles tuyaux adjacents, et un joint rotatif inférieur (106) qui relie les extrémités adjacentes des tuyaux inférieurs des ensembles tuyaux adjacents, l'axe de rotation des joints rotatifs supérieurs et inférieurs de chaque joint articulé étant coaxial.
