An apparatus, system and process for simultaneously imaging a number of articles, each of which has applied thereto a unique encoded symbology distinguishing each article from every other article in the number of articles. The symbology encoding for all the articles, in an array of such articles, is simultaneously illuminated and imaged by one or more CCD type cameras. The resulting images of the array of encoded symbologies (38) is thereafter assembled and decoded. The symbology encoded articles may, for example, be test tubes (32) disposed in a rack (30) and the CCD imaging may be effected by four cameras (80, 82, 84 and 86) which are disposed to image the array (34) of such symbologies.
L'invention porte sur un appareil un système et un procédé présentant de mettre en image simultanément plusieurs articles d'une série comportant chacun une symbologie unique codée le distinguant de tous les autres articles de la série. Les symbologies codant pour l'ensemble des articles du réseau est éclairée simultanément et capturée par une ou plusieurs caméras CCD. Les images résultantes du réseau de symbologies (38) codées sont ensuite assemblés et décodées. Les articles à symbologie codée peuvent, par exemple, être des tubes à essai (32) disposé sur un bac (30) et l'imagerie CCD peut se faire à l'aide de quatre caméras (80, 82, 84 et 86) disposées de manière à capturer l'image du réseau (34) desdites symbologies.
