ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to an apparatus for treat- ing printed circuit boards with process solutions in a vertically continuous, process-dependent flow-through process, comprising continuous conveyers, tanks for storing surface treatment agents and nozzles with connecting pipe lines. In the apparatus are disposed above the storage tank a pair of preferably symmetric collecting vessels having at their lower ends outlet orifices which are disposed on both sides parallel to the conveying direction of the printed circuit board, their wall side facing the printed circuit board being smaller than the outer wall wide. The present invention also provides a process for the continuous surface treatment of printed circuit boards, particulary for the through- contacting of perforated printed circuit boards by process-depen- dent action of liquid surface treatment agents and/or electrolyte solutions on their surface in which process the treatment solu- tions are admitted in a free fall on both sides to the upper edge of the printed circuit boards, which are suspended vertically from continuous conveyers and upon being discharged and collected they are recycled to the process.
