A B S T R A C T In the case of an apparatus, especially for use under ground, for remote transmission of information from a drill-hole while a drilling unit is in operation, provision is made, according to the invention, for a target drill-rod to be available for the drilling unit, in known fashion, in the vacinity of the drill-bit, an inner tube, driven by a drill-rod string, being arranged concentrically in a vertical outer tube, and for a flow-control valve to be arranged in the inner tube of the said target drill-rod, the said valve converting pulses, produced by measuring instruments provided in the outer tube, into pressure-pulses which are passed, by the flushing fluid flowing in the drill-rod string, to the mouth of the drill-hole where they are evalutated, the drive provided to actuate the flow-control valve being arranged in the outer tube.
