The invention relates to an apparatus for a checkpoint, comprising a controlled access passage, the exit of which is closed by an exit door (gate). Said exit door (5) opens in response to a signal of at least one biometric unit (8) which is arranged in the controlled access space (3) and by which the biometric features of a person desiring passage can be detected, and said biometric unit (8) is arranged frontally opposite of the entrance to the controlled access space (3) and preferably integrated in the exit door (5) of the controlled access space (3). A person entering the controlled access space (3) is therefore immediately located quasi automatically in the correct position for detection by the biometric unit (8), which is to say, frontally opposite of the biometric unit.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de contrôle du passage de personnes, comportant un sas de passage dont la sortie est fermée par une porte de sortie (Gate). Cette porte de sortie (5) s'ouvre en réponse à un signal provenant d'au moins une unité biométrique (8) agencée dans le sas de passage (3), laquelle permet de détecter les caractéristiques biométriques d'une personne demandant à passer. L'unité biométrique (8) est agencée frontalement en face de l'entrée du sas de passage (3) et de préférence intégrée dans la porte de sortie (5) du sas de passage (3). Une personne s'engageant dans le sas de passage (3) se trouve ainsi quasi obligatoirement aussitôt dans la position correcte pour son identification par l'unité biométrique (8), à savoir frontalement en face de l'unité biométrique.
