ABSTRACT Apparatus for a slaughterhouse, more specially for the removal of the toe-web of pigs. Apparatus for use in pig-slaughterhouses for the removal of the toe-web or toe-membrane (13) between the toes of the hindlegs (11, 12). The bodies, vertically hung on carrying-yokes (8, 9, 10) are orientated on their way along the conveyor (5, 6, 7) by a springloaded yoke (18) to pass through the removing- station with the hindlegs (11, 12) perpendicular to the direction of transportation. On each side a rotating milling-cutter (40) (of the metal milling type) is placed on a double-swing (43, 44; 46-49), enabling the cutter to keep rotating in a plane parallel to the direction of transportation, but to position itself with guiding-means (62,64, 69) into the right position for each subsequent arriving and passing couple of legs. Apart from the drive of the milling-cutter, all move- ments for the orientation of the pig and of both cutters are derived from the conveyor-motion available anyhow.
