APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING CUTTER BLADES OF A CUTTER SHAFT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Apparatus for adjusting a cutter blade in a cutter shaft to a desired circular cutting path has a pressure bar which is pivoted to move a pressure face thereon against the cutting edge of the cutter blade and thereby to displace the latter from an initial loosely clamped position, in which the cutting blade projects beyond the circular cutting path, into a final adjusted position in which the cutter blade is immovably clamped. To avoid damaging the cutting edge, the pressure bar is mounted so that, with the apparatus viewed in cross-section, a line intersecting the axis of pivotation of the bar and the point of contact of the cutting edge and the pressure face subtends with the plane of the cutter blade an angle of approximately 90° to 110°.
