A system for automated production of a fiber optic device includes a chamber regulating an environment and/or atmosphere within for the automated production of the fiber optic device. The system also includes a sealable input port, communicating with the changer and substantially sealing the environment and the atmosphere of the chamber. The sealable input port receives an optical fiber for insertion therethrough into the chamber. A movable holding stage is included within the changer, including at least one clamp to be secured to the optical fiber. An energy source is disposed within the chamber, and used to apply energy to the optical fiber. The system also includes a gripping device within the chamber. The gripping device includes a cavity adapted for receiving the optical fiber therethrough and for securing thereto. The gripping device is also adapted to transport the optical fiber from the sealable input port to the movable holding stage and to a predetermined position to receive the energy applied by the energy source.
Ce système de production automatisée de dispositif à fibres optiques comporte une chambre régulant une ambiance et/ou une atmosphère de production automatisée du dispositif à fibres optiques. Le système comporte également une entrée que l'on peut fermer hermétiquement, qui communique avec la chambre et vient fermer sensiblement hermétiquement l'ambiance et l'atmosphère de la chambre. Cette entrée reçoit une fibre optique destinée à introduire à l'intérieur de la chambre. La chambre comporte un point d'attache mobile possédant au moins une pince à fixer sur la fibre optique. Une source d'énergie disposée à l'intérieur de la chambre sert à fournir de l'énergie à la fibre optique. Le système comporte en outre, à l'intérieur de la chambre, un dispositif de préhension comportant une cavité conçue pour recevoir la fibre optique et la serrer. Ce dispositif de préhension est également conçu pour transporter la fibre optique depuis l'entrée à fermeture hermétique jusqu'au point d'attache mobile ainsi qu'à une position prédéterminée afin d'y recevoir l'énergie fournie par la source d'énergie.
