ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Apparatus and method for applying closure clips to filled bags. Pleating of bag material is by two sets of inter- meshing gears which pleat and position the bag material within a clip held adjacent the gear sets. After filling the clip is dislodged from position by a pin or projection carried by one of the gear sets.
