ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to an apparatus for atomizing liquid with the help of gas or for dispersing gas into small bubbles with the help of liquid, the gas and the liquid being delivered together to a mixing chamber so as to form a two- phase mixture and there mixed, and the delivery speed and the volumetric flows of the individual phases being so selected that the outflow speed of the two-phase mixture is equal to the characteristic sonic speed. In order to maintain the mixing ratios, the outflow cross-section is adjustable.
