An apparatus for attaching a reclosable fastener (28) to a web (16) of flexible material for use with a host packaging machine to form a reclosable container. The attaching apparatus is operatively connected to and driven by a programmable motor and function controller in cooperative relation with the host machine and guides the web of flexible material from which the containers will ultimately be formed along a first path through the attaching apparatus. A supply of reclosable zipper-type fasteners (28) is also provided, and the fasteners are guided along a second path of the apparatus. Individual zipper- type fasteners are removed from the fastener supply path and disposed in juxtaposition to a segment of the flexible material in overlying relation to a cut which has been formed through a predetermined segment of the flexible material. The individual fastener is then sealed to the flexible material in overlying, surrounding relation to the cut, and the web, with the reclosable fastener attached thereto, is then passed to the host packaging machine for forming, filling, sealing and separating a reclosable container.
L'invention concerne un appareil permettant de fixer un élément de fermeture (28) du type pouvant être refermé, à une bande (16) d'un matériau souple. Ledit appareil est prévu pour être utilisé avec une machine d'emballage principale pour former un conteneur pouvant être refermé. L'appareil selon l'invention est relié, de manière opérationnelle, à un moteur programmable et à un contrôleur de fonction et est entraîné par ces derniers en coopération avec la machine principale. En outre, l'appareil selon l'invention guide la bande d'un matériau souple, à partir de laquelle les conteneurs vont être formés, le long d'une première trajectoire dans l'appareil. Un système d'alimentation en éléments de fermeture par glissière et pression (28) est également prévu, et lesdits éléments de fermeture sont amenés le long d'une deuxième trajectoire de l'appareil. Des éléments de fermeture par glissière et pression individuels sont retirés de la trajectoire d'alimentation et placés près d'un segment de matériau souple, de manière à chevaucher une découpe formée dans un segment prédéterminé du matériau souple. L'élément de fermeture individuel est ensuite fermé sur le matériau souple, de manière à chevaucher et entourer la découpe. Ensuite, la bande à laquelle est maintenant fixé l'élément de fermeture à glissière et pression, est ensuite transférée à la machine d'emballage principale pour former, remplir, fermer et séparer un conteneur pouvant être refermé.
