ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Apparatus for automatically correcting depolarization effects of radio-frequency electro-magnetic waves, transmitted via satellite, by means of a double polarization and by making use of two different frequency bands, one for reception and the other for transmission, and two signals called band beacons and transmitted according to the two polarizations, and signals, called channel beacons, equal in number to the channels transmitted and allocated to each of these channels and also transmitted according to polari- zations. There is provided a radio-frequency compensation unit which, depending upon information on de depolarization undergone by the band beacons, performs a regenerative correction of an inter- fering signal in the receiving frequency band. A correction- signal processing unit receives information from the compensation unit about the depolarization interference between the band beacons, and generates control signals to modify the signal of the transmis- sion and reception bands. A pre-distorsion unit is connected to the correction unit and acts on the signal of the transmitted band, for compensating in advance any distorsion the latter signal may undergo due to the anisothropy of transmitting medium. And a channel- by-channel blanking unit is connected to the compensation unit and which, depending upon the interference undergone by the channel bea- cons transmitted according to the double polarization, cancels interference remaining between pairs of corresponding channels in intermediate frequency stages.
