ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to an apparatus for axially reciprocating friction rolls in the inking-system of a printing press, using an eccentric drive, by means of thurst rods (44) and control-levers (36,39) mounted upon the frame (24) of the machine and providing a wear-resistant drive with little play for the reciprocating motion of the friction rolls (7-10), the said drive being also applicable under restricted space conditions.
