An apparatus for biological tissue treatment utilizing high frequencies, which can dispense with counter electrode plates and treat biological tissues by means of discharge between a discharge electrode and the biological tissues and Joule heat generated by a current flowing locally through the biological tissues. The apparatus is provided with an electromagnetic radiation electrode (1) that radiates a strong electromagnetic wave from the tip thereof when a high-frequency current having at least high-band radio frequencies is supplied thereto. By utilizing not only an arc discharge (10) that takes place at the affected part (9) of a biological tissue (8) by locating the tip of the electrode (1) at such a position as to expose the biological tissue (8) in an electromagnetic field close to the tip of the electrode (1) but also Joule heat that is locally generated by a current flowing into the biological tissue (8) with the tissue (8) serving as the earth, the apparatus gives the biological tissue (8) various treatments, such as vaporization, dissection, and coagulation and hemostasis brought about by thermal denaturation.
L'invention concerne un appareil pour le traitement de tissus biologiques à l'aide de hautes fréquences, qui rend superflues les contre-électrodes planes et permet de traiter les tissus biologiques au moyen d'une décharge produite entre une électrode de décharge et les tissus biologiques, et grâce à la chaleur ohmique engendrée par un courant parcourant localement les tissus biologiques. Cet appareil comporte une électrode à rayonnement électromagnétique (1) assurant, depuis sa pointe, le rayonnement d'une onde électromagnétique puissante, lorsque lui est fourni un courant haute fréquence présentant au moins des radiofréquences à bandes hautes. En utilisant non seulement une décharge en arc (10) se produisant au niveau de la partie atteinte (9) d'un tissu biologique (8) par positionnement de la pointe de l'électrode (1) de manière à exposer le tissu biologique (8) à un champ électromagnétique proche de la pointe de l'électrode (1), mais en faisant appel également à la chaleur ohmique produite localement par un courant circulant dans le tissu biologique (8) tenant lieu de terre, l'appareil permet de réaliser sur le tissu biologique (8) divers traitements tels que la vaporisation, la dissection, ainsi que la coagulation et l'hémostase provoquées par la dénaturation thermique.
