An apparatus for bracing a plurality of vertebras of the human spine, comprising at least two pedicel screws having an annular head including a slot which extends into the opening and including internal thread portions, a securing screw to be screwed in said slot, a relatively stiff threaded rod to be inserted into the opening in the head of the pedicel screw and secured by said securing screws, and adjusting nuts screwed on said rod and cooperating which said head.

L'invention porte sur un appareil permettant de supporter une série de vertèbres d'une personne. L'appareil comprend au moins deux vis à pédicule présentant une tête annulaire avec fente, se prolongeant dans l'ouverture et comprenant un filetage interne; une vis de retenue se vissant dans la fente en question, une tige filetée relativement rigide s'insérant dans l'ouverture de la tête de la vis à pédicule et fixée solidement au moyen de vis de retenue; et des écrous de réglage vissés sur la tige et fonctionnant avec la tête en question.
