Apparatus for bracing a structural component against sway and seismic disturbances includes a strip structure having attachment portions for attaching the strip structure to a support and a threaded connector retention enclosure forming an enclosure interior. A threaded connector has an enlarged head located within the enclosure material and is for the purpose for receiving a threading bracing rod. The strip structure can be bent to change the angle of inclination of the rod. 13
