APPARATUS FOR CARRYING AND PLACING COMPONENTS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for transporting electronic components from stock positions to an electronic circuit board or the like and for placing the components on the board comprises a rod provided, at its end, with a sucking tool for holding the components. A frame supports the rod for movement in vertical and horizontal directions. Two pairs of position regulating pawls are movably supported on the rod for opening and closing operations to grasp from different directions the components held by the sucking tool.
