A low-profile wallet apparatus (106) for securing relatively small items to a person that may be opened with one hand, the wallet having a closure mechanism to secure a first portion (20) to a second portion (22), the closure system being provided to create a seal to securely maintain the items in the wallet. The wallet, or at least portions thereof may advantageously be provided of a wicking or breathable material.
