ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: An apparatus for casting and/or moulding a motor-vehicle tyre comprising a reinforcing insert arranged radially under the tread, the apparatus comprising a mould consisting of a core, an upper and a lower part located axially above or below the core, and segments which mould the tread area of the tyre and are arran- ged radially outside the said core, the segments being adapted to pivot or move radially and/or axially, characterized in that a device is provided for introducing the reinforcing insert into the mould, devices being also provided on the mould itself for secu- ring the insert.
