A tubular manifold adapted for engagement onto the suction wand of a conventional household vacuum cleaner. The upper bore of said manifold is adapted for hermetic fixation to the vacuum cleaner's suction wand and its lower bore is adapted for hermetic engagement onto the standard screw-capped aperture of a motor-oil shipping container, gasoline "ferry-can" or similar recycled liquid container. One end of a small- diameter flexible tube, thin enough for insertion down the oil dipstick tube of an engine is inserted through a close-fitting aperture pierced through the side of said manifold. When the mated suction wand exerts negative pressure within the mated liquid container, used crankcase oil is drawn into the liquid container through the mated small- diameter tube. Threaded or conical adaptor rings may be provided to enable mating the manifold to different sizes of liquid containers and to different sizes of vacuum wands. Vents through the manifold wall may also be provided to prevent the collapse of thin walled liquid containers. When changing the engine's oil filter, means are provided for capturing oil held in the old filter before it spills onto the ground.
