ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to improvements in conductor termination apparatus and with the termination of conductors in insulation-piercing contacts of an electrical connector. The invention is particularly di- rected toward improvements in the tool used to insert and cut a conductor in an electrical connector. The tool, having a cutting edge, is carried by a pivotably mounted lever and means are provided to convert the arcuate move- ment of the lever into linear tool movement. A tool guide assists in the movement of the tool toward and away from the connector, supported adjacent a second cutting edge. Means are also provided on the tool to maintain the line of the tool during cutting and thus prevent separation of the cutting edges.
