ABSTRACT The invention relates to an apparatus for charging at least one crusher, adapted to be charged from above, with material delivered intermittently by a plurality of transporting vehicles, the said material being fed to the crusher by a bucket, the said bucket being charged by at least one transporting vehicle, in a receiving position adapted to the plane of movement of the said transporting vehicle and being adapted to be raised into a transferring position in which it is tilted in order to empty it into the crusher, the crushed material being removed therefrom by means of a transporting device. The crusher is arranged upon a mobile supporting structure, a continuous supply of material for the said crusher being obtained by at least two buckets acting as intermediate bunkers and adapted to be raised and lowered, the said buckets feeding the charge material to a receiving hopper acting as an additional intermediate bunker and preceding the crusher, as seen the direction of flow of the material.
