ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE For charging evaporators in coating plants with moulded parts of vapour plating material an apparatus is used which comprises a roller provided with notches and centred on a rotary axis as well as enclosed by a tightly fitting casing. The apparatus has a moving element, with stepwise feed, fasten- ed to the axis and a swivel axis which can be moved between a normal position and a charging position, the axis with roller being attached to said swivel axis by fastening ele- ments. The casing of the roller is provided with a recess which corresponds to the moulded parts. In the charging posi- tion the recess is directly above the evaporator. Because of the short-time charging operation cooling is not required and an effect on the coating by the shadow effect is avoided.
