APPARATUS FOR CLEANING A BODY OF LIQUID ABSTRACT An apparatus for cleaning a body of liquid comprises an elongated drive hose having an inlet end for receiving liquid under pressure and an opposite outlet end. A jet on the drive hose is spaced from the outlet end and communicates with the interior of the drive hose to receive liquid under pressure and discharge the liquid into the body of liquid. The jet is located and directed to produce thrust for driving the drive hose longi- tudinally. A non-buoyant cleaning unit is carried by the drive hose adjacent its outlet end to be pulled by the drive hose through the body of liquid and has an open side forming a mouth facing along the drive hose in the general direction of the inlet end for receiving debris as the cleaning unit is pulled through the liquid. The unit carries a device for collecting and holding the debris. An additional jet is located on the cleaning unit for receiving liguid under pressure from the drive hose and is directed to produce additional thrust for driving the drive hose and the cleaning unit.
