ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides apparatus for cleaning and/or cooling a gas flow in which the gas flow is brought into contact with a liquid, the apparatus comprising a conduit for the gas flow, closed at one end by an end plate, an aperture in the end plate of the conduit, a blower arranged within the con- duit to serve as a drop separator, a second blower placed out- side the conduit having a diameter larger than that of the drop separator blower, and a connecting tube passing through the aperture in the end plate of said conduit to provide fluid communication between the blowers.
