Abstract of the Disclosure An apparatus for dislodging particulate powder material from the wall of a cartridge filter in the powder recovery unit of a powder spray system comprises a deflector plate mounted at the open top of the cartridge filter in the path of filtered air passing therethrough, and an air jet valve which directs a jet of air downwardly onto the deflector toward the open top of the cartridge filter so that the filtered air within the interior of the cartridge filter is pressurized and thereby reverses the direc- tion of air flow through the filter wall to dislodge powder particles collected therefrom.
