ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus is provided herein for providing a barrier coating composition on the interior surface of an edible food container. The apparatus includes a receptacle for holding an edible food container. Means are provided for introducing the coating composition into the edible food container to be provided in the receptacle, to a predetermined level. Means are provided for rotating the coating composition within the edible food container substantially, in order uniformly to coat the interior surface of the container with the coating composition. Finally, means are provided for discharging the coated edible food container from the receptacle.
