ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a method for providing a coat of a thermoplastic or thermosetting material on the inner surface of a hollow object, the hollow of which is preferably formed as a surface of rotation and which has at one end an opening which is preferably coaxial with the hollow space, the object being subjected to a treatment suitable for causing the plastic mat- erial to adhere to the inner surface and heated to a temperature above the melting point of the plastic material. In accordance with the invention the object is raised to a position in which the opening faces upwards and is caused to rotate about the axis of the hollow space. Thereupon, finely divided plastic material is introduced into the cavity by rapid injection and the object is rapidly tilted into an inclined position. The tilting is continued at a tilting rate adjusted to the shape of the hollow and to the desired thickness of the coat. The tilting rate is also, like the rate of rotation, adjusted to the angle of slide of the finely divided plastic material to cause the material to perform a quiet and clean sliding movement during the tilting of the object without free fall of the components of the material. Finally, the object is tilted into a position in which the open- ing faces downwards for the discharge of excess plastic material.
