ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for use in the colorimetric determina- tion of liquids is disclosed wherein the apparatus is a reac- tion vessel having a massive V-shaped bottom of transparent material with a refractive index of n > 1.4. The bottom has a cone- or prism-shape with an apical angle from about 80° to about 100° or the shape of a polyhedral pyramid whose opposing surfaces intersect at an angle between about 80° and about 100°. The apparatus permits speeded-up colorimetric determinations.
