ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to an apparatus for conditioning particulate material and subsequently dispensing the conditioned particulate material. In previous designs, the conditioning auger and dispensing auger have been arranged coaxially with the result that there is a relatively short conditioning zone. The apparatus of the present invention provides a conditioning zone disposed above the dispensing zone, the conditioning zone having a substantially larger capacity than the dispensing zone. The conditioning auger is mounted in the conditioning zone and the dispensing auger is mounted in the dispensing zone directly below the conditioning auger.
